Our six hour vacation in Chicago

I was very happy to be in the city
We made it to the bean!!
Can you find us?
Inside the bean. That was an experience.
Having fun with the bean:
walking around...
the were filming a "spin-off" but they wouldn't say which one. No Vince, though [car].
My grandfather used to work in the red building. Then we were on our way to see Aaron's apartment. We had to take many trains & buses... let's just say we had an experience. All the boys did was check on their fantasy teams. I entertained myself by taking pictures... mostly of myself... I had fun :)view from the L:
Finally we made it to Aarons... welcome

Last fall it was a read couch with a red shirt in Chicago.
This fall it's black.

We ended our trip at the Buckingham Fountain.Tonight we're heading to Indianapolis for Nic & Jen's wedding.
LOVE to you all!!

Must Sleep...

We were non-stop last weekend. Tim and I had a date on Friday night, where we watched Andrew & Ann's wedding... hahaha! [we needed to take notes for, well, you know] Then Saturday I went to Jen's shower. I am so excited for their wedding!! After that we went to GCC with Brandy, Larry & Jace and then dinner at Max & Erma's. We had such a blast... I wish I would have brought a camera!!

Sunday we headed to the Hog Roast at GMC around noon. We ran into so many great people that we hadn't talked to in a long time, it was awesome!! We left after a couple of hours we headed over to the Cove to watch Carrie's baptism. It was amazing to be a part of her life changing experience. After that we headed to Car's going-away-dinner. That was so bittersweet. It was hard to say goodbye, but we were so happy for her and the new road that she is setting out on!!

Who knows what next weekend will bring...

Wedding Planning...

[and budgeting]

It's crazy how much work is going into this ONE day. I'm working on a budget right now. Absolutely no fun. I've booked the florist, bakery, photographer, make-up, reception hall, and church but I've only paid for the photographer and the church...ahhh! Now I need to find a dress and a salon that will hold all of us girls!! Not to mention figuring out where we are going to live once we're married... yikes! I am happy that we know for sure that we'll be married at Granger Missionary.

That's one less stressful thing in my life.

love,

It's Back....

Pumpkin Spice Latte!! Let Fall begin! I've found a way to drink this drink and spend only an extra 30 minutes on the treadmill. Soon the leaves will be changing... yay!!! Now that Tim is home for a little while we can jump in the jeep with our foliage drinks and drive around in the country. I am so happy!! It's the little things in life! God is good!

LOVE to you all!

We can't take this wedding business
too seriously....

We are slowly working on all of the details... hopefully there will be no receiving line traffic jams, no dreaded dances and no time for a movie between our ceremony and reception.
Our wedding will hopefully be very unique and won't follow a 'How To' manual. We hope you leave feeling like you really experienced something, and will walk away with a memory.
Keep checking our wedding page for more details

the shortest two weeks of my life…

Two weeks ago today Beth came into town and she stayed at my house for a couple of days. I didn't get to see her much but we hit all of the important things: IHOP, GCC, Hacienda and of course we had a coffee date. I did have a chance to put her to work on the wedding :) She helped out with the save-the-dates. She is the best! We had great conversations… she is one of the most amazing people that I know. She has such a beautiful way of seeing things and gives incredible advice!! I miss you and wish we could have spent more time together. She's the best!!

Last Monday Tim came home for a short visit that turned out to be longer than we planned. He was supposed to fly in on Monday and out of Friday. We had to change his flight home to Monday because his mom was so sick. We had dinner with his entire family the first night he was here. Then we stayed up late talking about what his new life is like. It was so weird to be talking face-to-face [and it's only been one month…ahhhhh!!]. Then when Tuesday came we started planning our big day. Over the next few days we spent so much time and energy going over all of the little details. It was a crazy couple of days!!

On Wednesday while we were getting ready to head to our reception hall Tim got a call from Mark telling us that his mom had been taken to the hospital because she had a seizure. We spent the rest of the day there as the doctors tried to figure out what was wrong with her.

Since we spent all afternoon/evening at the hospital and with his parents Tim decided to stay a few days longer so he could be with his mom and so we could reschedule our appointments.

We went to Adams last show Friday night and had a fun time talking, hanging out and drinking coffee [my favorite] with everyone afterwards.

Saturday Lisa and I gave Car a surprise birthday party… that was awesome. I hope she had a blast!!

Sunday Tim and I spent the ENTIRE afternoon trying to transfer his music from my laptop to his... talk about frustrating!!! We finally went out on the date we were supposed to have on Tims first night in town on the last night he was here. Dinner and the river walk were both amazing. I love him.

I took Tim to the airport yesterday afternoon and that totally sucked!! His plane was delayed, but not delayed until everyone was already on the plane. Of course I stayed and watched his him take off [I love airports].

What a fun life for us.
